Turnaround Tracking
After numerous client discussions regarding turnaround delays and their impact on business operations, Valorian recognized the need for a comprehensive system to track job progress, delays, and their consequences on downstream work.
We seized the opportunity to partner with a petrochemical facility owner who had planned a 30-day turnaround.
In collaboration with this customer, we developed TruView Turnaround, a system designed to seamlessly integrate with Primavera P6. TruView Turnaround accepted scheduling files from Primavera P6, displaying the turnaround schedule in an easy-to-manage format that showed each job.
Construction managers were able to easily update job progress directly from their devices while in the field, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
TruView Turnaround captured detailed delay information, enabling plant owners to identify process gaps within hours.
TruView Turnaround also updated downstream job schedules, allowing for adjustments such as pushing jobs out when necessary or initiating preceding jobs earlier if the field crew finished ahead of schedule.
The outcome
The insights gained from TruView Turnaround were then fed back into P6, providing schedulers with real-time data on actual times and impacts to downstream jobs.
Thanks to TruView Turnaround, this particular turnaround was completed four days ahead of schedule.
