Job Summary
As a Technical Project Manager at Valorian, you will lead multiple client-oriented projects, focusing on the Industrial Services sector. You'll implement innovative custom software solutions, streamline processes, and leverage automation to increase the competitiveness and value of our clients' businesses. This position is currently offered as a 1099 contract role, with the potential for full-time direct hire for the right candidate. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. We do not offer visa sponsorship at this time. We are looking for individuals who are committed, aligned with our values, and eager to make a long-term impact within our team.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and key stakeholders, to define project scope, develop project plans, and manage project timelines and budgets. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage project risks will be essential in ensuring project success. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering quantifiable results to our clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Your role will require proficiency in technical project delivery and a passion for innovation through technology. Through Valorian's project management tools and methodologies, you'll guide teams through the project lifecycle, with a core focus on ensuring project success and client satisfaction. While prior industry experience is not required, candidates with deep industry knowledge will be well positioned to understand our clients' unique needs and deliver tailored, effective solutions.
What you'll be doing
Lead Key Projects
- Drive end-to-end project delivery, keeping everything on track with client goals using quantifiable metrics.
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to drive success.
- Spot risks early and develop strategies to manage them, keeping scope and changes under control.
- Facilitate sprint reviews, client meetings, and executive updates, including Customer Business Reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client needs.
- Maintain project and process documentation.
Collaborate with the Product Team
- Partner with the Product team to design, test, and implement custom solutions that address customer needs and business objectives.
- Provide insights from the field to influence product enhancements and ensure alignment with customer priorities.
- Support testing and troubleshooting efforts during solution development to ensure a smooth implementation process.
Contribute to business development and continuous improvement efforts
- Identify ways to optimize operations, processes, and frameworks for scalability.
- Support business development efforts, including drafting Statements of Work and driving high client engagement.
Required skills
- At least 2 years of experience in technical project management, preferably with software implementations or professional services.
- Candidates with experience in Industrial Services, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, or similar industries will be given priority consideration.
- Strong time management capabilities, ensuring teams stay on track and deliver work efficiently.
- Solid knowledge of Agile project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Analytical mindset—you’re confident making decisions based on data and objectives.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while juggling multiple projects.
- A self-starter attitude—you’re proactive, take initiative, and can work independently to move projects forward without constant direction.
