Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Services Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Dedicated Account Manager to support a key client across their nationwide operations. This role will focus on building strong relationships, optimizing industrial service operations, and expanding engagement at all client locations.
As the primary liaison between our company and the client, you will provide expert guidance on industry best practices, safety processes, and operational workflows while ensuring a high level of service delivery. You will be responsible for maintaining and growing our presence across all of the client’s locations and identifying new opportunities for collaboration. This is a hybrid role located in the Houston area, which requires 50% travel.
What you'll be doing
Client & Account Management
- Serve as the dedicated account manager for the client’s nationwide operations, maintaining strong relationships across multiple locations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Lead engagement efforts at new and existing client locations to expand our services.
- Participate in client sales and leadership meetings, providing insights on how to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships
- Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals
- Work with sales and other internal teams to develop strategic growth plans and ensure KPIs are being met
- Develop a thorough understanding of our products and service offerings to better upsell and cross-sell
- Generate progress reports for our client and senior leaders within the organization
Subject Matter Expertise – Industrial Services
- Provide expert guidance on industrial service operations, contractor management, and job site efficiency.
- Assist in streamlining workflows and process improvements for industrial operations.
- Contribute to risk assessment and safety improvement initiatives.
- Support training efforts for the client’s workforce and contractors.
- Work closely with client teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Apply subject expertise in evaluating business operations and processes.
- Identifying areas where technical solutions would improve business performance and safety.
- Consulting across business operations, providing mentorship, and contributing specialized knowledge.
- Ensure accurate representation of expertise prior to the distribution of technical solutions to end-users.
- Document processes and disseminate information to all relevant stakeholders.
- Support the development and implementation of platform training programs and workshops to promote awareness and compliance among employees.
Requirements
- Must be based in Houston, TX region or willing to relocate.
- 50% travel required to visit client sites across multiple locations in the U.S.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial services, oil & gas, refineries, or petrochemical industries.
- Strong understanding of contractor management, job site operations, and safety processes.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, JSA (Job Safety Analysis), and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proven experience in account management, business development, or client relations.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders at multiple locations.
- Experience with upselling and identifying new business opportunities within an existing client base.
- Familiarity with digital platforms or technology-driven solutions that improve job site safety and operational efficiency.
- Ability to identify workflow gaps and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) – Required within 90 days of hire
- Houston Area Safety Council (HASC) Basic Plus Training – Required within 90 days of hire
Salary
$80,000 - $120,000 per year
