Position Summary

As a Project Manager at Valorian Solutions, you will lead multiple client-oriented projects, focusing on the Industrial Services sector. You'll implement innovative software solutions, streamline processes, and leverage automation to increase the competitiveness and value of our clients' businesses.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and stakeholders, to manage project scope, develop project plans, and manage project timelines and budgets. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage project risks will be essential in ensuring project success. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering value to our clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Your role will require a deep understanding of the Industrial Services industry and a passion for innovation through technology. Through Valorian's project management tools and methodologies, you'll guide teams through the project lifecycle, with a core focus on ensuring project success and client satisfaction. Candidates with robust industry experience will be well positioned to understand our clients' unique needs and deliver tailored, effective solutions.

Location

This role is remote, requiring a quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet for daily audio-video conferencing.

However, applicants must reside in the SE Texas area with a preference to the Greater Houston Metro, as client visits will be required.

Industry-Specific Experience

This role requires a strong understanding of and experience in the Industrial Services industry, including areas like industrial facility services and oil & gas field services. Previous experience in this sector is advantageous as it allows for a better grasp of our clients' unique challenges, offering more effective solutions that boost their operational efficiency, scalability, and growth. Experience with security controls would be a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Reliably communicate project status, risks, and issues to client stakeholders, leadership, and internal team members in a clear and concise manner.

• Convert deliverables from Statements of Work (SOWs) into tangible project tasks.

• Organize sprints and coordinate work between internal and external teams.

• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.

• Keep project management tools updated with project budget, duration, and completion status.   

Facilitate sprint reviews and client project meetings to ensure action items are tracked and completed on time.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project risks and issues, maintain decision logs, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

• Understand clients’ business cases and effectively drive progress towards those desired outcomes.

• Manage project scope and change requests to ensure project goals are met within budget and timeline constraints.

• Own timely delivery of all project documentation, diagrams, and training resources to clients.

• Prepare and present project closure documentation.

• Facilitate the handoff of project deliverables to Valorian Operations.

This position is a part-time or full-time contract 1099 position.
